J.CREW TAKES SUITING SERIOUSLY WITH PLEASE DON’T DESTROY

Three funny guys. Three no-nonsense suits. Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy star in a new campaign featuring J.Crew’s signature suits.

NEW YORK, Oct 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — J.Crew unveils its fall suiting campaign starring comedy trio Please Don’t Destroy’s Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy. “We take suiting seriously” pairs a comedy short directed by Herlihy and written by Marshall, Higgins, Herlihy, and Brady Lees with photography by Luke Gilford, bringing a sense of humor to the business of getting dressed.

In the film, Martin, Ben and John report for their first day of work in the Suit Shop at J.Crew’s 19 Bond Street store, and things go…pretty much as expected. Questionable measuring techniques, unconventional recommendations and an attempt to close before noon turn an ordinary shift into a Please Don’t Destroy production. Their qualifications may be debatable. Their suits are not.

“J.Crew has a long history of helping people find their first suit,” said Julia Collier, Chief Marketing Officer of J.Crew. “With Ben, John and Martin, we wanted to bring some personality and humor to that experience. They took the idea of a day in the J.Crew Suit Shop and made it entirely theirs, while showing how versatile and well-fitted our suits are.”

The accompanying stills, photographed by Luke Gilford in New York’s Financial District, channel the energy and attitude of 1990s New York. Patterned ties, briefcases and classic tailoring cast the trio as men on the clock, bringing J.Crew’s unmistakable take on American style to the city streets.

“Wearing a suit makes me feel like an adult,” said Ben Marshall. “Now I have to change everything else in my life to catch up to that feeling.”

The campaign highlights three signature fits, each with its own attitude:

  • The Ludlow Slim Fit: The “You should know my name” suit.
Established in 2008, the suit J.Crew is famous for features a modern slim fit that’s become the new standard.
  • The Crosby Classic Fit: The “Good first impression” suit.
A classic silhouette with a straight leg and more room to move.
  • The Kenmare Relaxed Fit: The “Just because” suit.
Designed for a relaxed yet polished modern fit.

“I think a good suit should make people assume you know what you’re talking about,” said John Higgins. “These do that, which is very helpful for us.”

For all three fits, J.Crew sources fabrics from some of the world’s best mills, known for their generations of expertise and exceptional craftsmanship. The collection combines that craftsmanship with a choice of silhouettes, giving customers more ways to find a suit that feels like their own.

“Directing this video for J Crew was a joy and an honor,” said Martin Herlihy. “Two of the actors were pretty unprofessional, but I will keep them anonymous.”

The campaign debuts today across J.Crew’s channels. Shop Ludlow, Crosby and Kenmare suiting at jcrew.com and in select J.Crew stores.
